Ruslan Baginskiy — Grain de Sel, presenting the brand’s first-ever fragrance!

This summer, Ruslan Baginskiy introduced Grain de Sel, the brand’s first fragrance. The launch was accompanied by an exhibition at Kyiv’s Museum of Avant-Garde, exploring the story behind the fragrance, its key inspirations, its ideas and visual components.
For Ruslan Baginskiy, fragrance became a new way of extending the brand’s universe — an opportunity to express it not through an object or image, but through sensations, emotions, and memories.

Grain de Sel translates from French as “grain of salt.” The name refers not only to the sea and memories associated with it, but also to the idea of completeness: an element that brings things together, unites, and creates harmony. The missing piece. This idea continues in the design of the bottle — white and translucent, as if carved from a single crystal of salt.

The unisex fragrance opens with notes of ripe pear, apple, mandarin, and lemon. The heart combines lily of the valley, violet, and cinnamon, while the base brings together labdanum, musk, and tonka bean. With a 26% fragrance concentration, the composition offers depth and lastingness on the skin.
Grain de Sel combines ingredients sourced from Europe with Ukrainian production. The blending and all stages of packaging take place in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

The presentation explored the story behind Grain de Sel through art, craft, materials, and sound. It featured works by contemporary Ukrainian artists, including a specially created watercolor by Mykola Tolmachev, a plasticine painting by Antonina Falchuk, and large-scale sculptural installations that have long been associated with the visual language of Ruslan Baginskiy.
Among them were a Grain de Sel bottle recreated in sand, a space dedicated to blown glass and the brand’s first candle, and an immersive olfactory zone that revealed the fragrance pyramid through its individual notes.

“I have always wanted the world of RB to be not only seen, but felt. The arrival of a fragrance felt like a very natural step. Grain de sel was our missing ingredient.” — Ruslan Baginskiy.
